Paul Scholes sees a ‘couple of issues’ with Frank Lampard’s Chelsea squad that will prevent them from being Premier League title contenders.
The Blues missed out on a chance to go top of the Premier League as they were beaten 2-1 by Wolves on Tuesday night – thanks to a very late Pedro Neto goal.

Lampard was backed in the transfer market and splashed out on more than £200million worth of players.
Chelsea enjoyed a strong start to the season but cracks are starting to show with back-to-back defeats in their last two games.
Man United legend Scholes still thinks Liverpool and Man City, despite their 1-1 draw with West Brom on Tuesday night, are the ones to beat.
“I’m not sure, to be honest with you,” Scholes told Amazon Prime. “I think they are a really good team and I think what Frank has done has been excellent over last season and this.

“But I think they will fall a little bit short of Liverpool and Manchester City. I still think they are the teams to beat.
“I still think he has a couple of issues [with the squad], I would say. Thaigo Silva has come in at 36 years of age. He is going to have to manage him carefully to get through games because he is going to want him to play in all the important games.
“Can he do that for the full season?
“There is no doubt that he has brought a solidness back to Chelsea along with the goalkeeper as well.
“Also, can [Tammy] Abraham and [Olivier] Giroud get that combination right up there?”
